Nine Members from the Masters section of the City of Canterbury Swimming SC took part in the Great Britain Long Course championships at Manchester on the 20th to 22nd June.

Paul Webster, our gentle giant, romped home with a magnificent gold, silver and 2 bronzes in his age group not to be out done, Janet Wood won gold, silver and bronze in the 200m, 100m and 50m freestyle events respectively.

Sharon Ruck, who recently swam in the World Masters championships in Perth, Australia gained two bronze medals in her 200m backstroke and the grueling 200m butterfly. She also achieved two personal best times to add to her growing list.

Other members were Jane Crisp, Yvonne Davies, Dave Wood, Robin Hawkins, Mike Abbott and Neil Brown who all swam fantastic events and achieved places in the top ten and more personal best times.
