The younger swimmers of City of Canterbury swimming club enjoyed a successful weekends swimming at Dover. For several of the clubs younger swimmers it was their first experience of competitions. Many of these swimmers had good swims and gained personal bests.
First places went to Oliver Kilbey in his age group for both the Individual medley and Freestyle, Alfie Goldsmith in the Freestyle and Butterfly, Jamie Woodard in the Butterfly and Victoria Champs in the Butterfly who also came second in her Freestyle and Backstroke races.
Second places in their age groups went to Samuel Wilmshurst (Breaststroke), Lisa clews (Backstroke), Oliver Brawn (Breaststroke), Reece Parsons (individual medley and Butterfly) Simone Ward (Backstroke) and Sophie Wilmshurst (Butterfly). Sophie and Simone showed the quality of their individual strokes by reaching the finals in all of their events. Other finalists included Lucy Morgan, Jessica Devereux and Adam Kidd.
City of Canterbury completed this successful meet by making the relay finals in all age groups.
