Car parking for Kingsmead Leisure Centre

[Information believed correct at April 2013 but you are advised to double check!]

There is limited parking available at the Leisure Centre itself and there is normally no fee for this on event days. This car park is likely to fill up early. The Centre is in Kingsmead Road and the postcode for satellite systems is CT2 7PH.

On gala days a section at the rear of the car park is normally reserved for our volunteer officials – please respect this (the event depends on them!) and follow instructions from any marshals.

Other nearby car parks are Northgate and St Radigunds; these are pay and display at £1/£1.10 per hour (if you keep the tear-off section from the Northgate car park ticket up to £3 will be refunded at the Leisure Centre reception). The Northgate car park is on the other side of Sainsbury's from the Centre and the larger St Radigunds car park is a little further away (5-10 minutes walk along the riverside path).

Free parking is usually available at the city council offices in Military Road on Saturdays, although this is a 10-15 minute walk from the Leisure Centre.

See the online map at http://www.canterbury.gov.uk/main.cfm?objectid=5815 for locations and further details.

The charges are also listed at http://www.canterbury.gov.uk/assets/parking/canterburytariff.pdf

Canterbury also has three park and ride car parks, although these are mainly intended for shoppers and workers using the city centre. These cost £3 per car with up to six passengers, last bus 1930
