About the City of Canterbury Swimming Club

Registered charity 1144320

The City of Canterbury Swimming Club is a competitive club, based at the Kingsmead Pool in Canterbury and also using the facilities at the King's School Recreation Centre. With us you can start by learning to swim in the small pool and progress to representing your club and county in open competitions.

Our aim is to make swimmers and their parents feel wanted and accepted straight away, and to maximise the enjoyment of swimming in all its forms.

Running a swimming club the size of ours requires a great deal of effort from many individuals. All the people who run the club are unpaid volunteers and we will welcome you with open arms if you feel that you would like to help in any way. The more who come forward to help, the less the burden on those already involved and the more we can do for each group of swimmers.

Never be afraid to ask questions, whether its about the running of the Club or your child's progress in the water. We are always open to constructive suggestions for improving what we are currently doing. We are all here to make the club as much fun as possible. The Club is the sum of its members and we can all contribute to its success.
