Car parking for Kingsmead Leisure Centre

[Information believed correct at May 2012 but you are advised to double check!]

There is limited parking available at the Leisure Centre itself and there is normally no fee for this on event days. This car park is likely to fill up early. The Centre is in Kingsmead Road and the postcode for satellite systems is CT2 7PH.

On gala days a section at the rear of the car park is normally reserved for our volunteer officials – please respect this (the event depends on them!) and follow instructions from any martials.

Other nearby car parks are Northgate and St Radigunds; these are pay and display at £1/£1.10 per hour (if you keep the tear-off section from the Northgate car park ticket up to £3 will be refunded at the Leisure Centre reception). The Northgate car park is on the other side of Sainsbury's from the Centre and the larger St Radigunds car park is a little further away (5-10 minutes walk along the riverside path).

Free parking is usually available at the city council offices in Military Road on Saturdays, although this is a 10-15 minute walk from the Leisure Centre.

Canterbury West station is a 10-15 minute walk from Kingsmead and Canterbury East is approximately 20-30 minutes on foot.
